As I walked through the doors as a shy, hesitant freshman in fall of 2016,
all the unknowns of college were something unseen.

To a building that seemed so big and scary,
I went to class with nerves and worry.

Declaring a major was oh, so stressful,
due to the end goal of being successful.

Exercise Science had struck fascination,
then Occupational Therapy became my passion.

This place brought me countless tears and endless smiles,
but was definitely worth the many traveled miles.

Thanks to the professors who cared and always said “Hello,”
you’re a big part of helping me grow.

To the strangers who became friends and the friends who became family,
you’ve filled my heart with joy and gratitude fully.

From going to class and studying numerous hours,
throughout the years we’ve made this place ours.

Although next year, I won’t be strolling the halls,
the memories I’ve made here, I’ll always recall.

The building that started out as a place just to roam,
was ultimately turned into a home away from home.
